Emotional Dysregulation

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an effective treatment for emotional dysregulation in children. This type of therapy helps children to learn how to identify and manage their own thoughts and emotions. Through CBT, children can learn to recognize triggers for their dysregulation and develop coping strategies to better manage their emotions. CBT enables children to develop the skills to better regulate their emotions and be better able to manage their feelings in stressful situations. With support from a qualified therapist, CBT can help children to feel less overwhelmed and more in control of their emotions.
